Careers and Further Study

We're working right now on a new approach to providing careers information.

When it's ready, in the next month or two, you will have access to comprehensive and practical advice on careers which achieve positive change. Sign up to the newsletter and we'll let you know when it's here.

For now, check out the links in the 'careers' section or get in touch to find out more.

There are many students who wish in the future to work in the ‘not-for-profit' sector. However, many students simply do not know how to enter this sector. The Oxford Hub are working closely with the Oxford Careers Service to try and make it so this is no longer the case.

However, doing good needn't just involved charities. It could involve a career in the charitable, public or private sector. It could make you millions; it could make you very little. As the poet Mary Oliver wrote: "Tell me. What is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?" The possibilities are limitless, but hopefully you'll have something interesting and meaningful to show for it.

This area of our website is devoted to helping those wanting to either do voluntary work, postgraduate work or have a career within this charitable/socially responsible sector. Over the coming terms we hope to regularly update the website with useful links, news of internships, postgraduate, voluntary and career opportunities, as well as events happening within Oxford itself which might be relevant or at least helpful.
