Postgraduate work is by no means essential for work in the not-for-profit sector. However especially in the realm of international development postgraduate qualifications can be extremely useful, particularly if your degree is not particularly practical in either the skills or knowledge you have acquired for this line of work. Or even if your degree could be useful such as PPE, Engineering, Medicine, Geography, Biology etc, some post-graduate work could give you a certain amount of specialisation that would be extremely useful.
