Oxford Hub co-ordinates a wide range community volunteering projects for students from Oxford University. Uniquely, all our projects are student-led so there are opportunities not just to volunteer but also to shape the way the projects develop, allowing you to build community projects that produce real social change in the local community.
Already a volunteer? Go to our exisiting volunteers information page. Want to get involved? Read on for more information...
We have a whole range of projects, from getting involved in local schools, to working with the elderly to planting and harvesting a community allotment. Varying levels of time commitment are also available depending on your interests. So whether you just want to burst the Oxford bubble by reading with children in a local school once a week, or whether you're up for the challenge of leading a project to address a pressing local need, then there's something for you.
As a community volunteer you will:
- Become part of a network of over 500 Oxford University students involved in creating positive social change in the local community.
- Have access to ongoing support and high-quality training sessions to help you develop personally and professionally during your time as a volunteer.
- Be part of the wider Oxford Hub network and events programme, offering debates, conferences and skills sessions on social issues locally, nationally and internationally.
To express your interest in getting involved in our existing projects - simply select the projects that interest you from the list below. We're also always looking for enterprising students with ideas for new local projects - so if you think this is for you then get in touch on projects@oxfordhub.org.
To get started, you can express your interest here or have a browse of our list of projects below to get an idea of the things you can get involved in.
