Are you interested in ethical and sustainable living? Well we have collected the guides below, which have been produced by students and activist groups in Oxford to help you understand the issues and to make it easy for you to find shops and cafés where you can buy ethically sourced products, eat local and organic food and have fairtrade drinks.
These guides are by no means comprehensive, and we welcome input. Contact sustainability@studenthubs.org with information about shops, cafés, transportation systems, energy suppliers, letting agents etc. that you think should be added to our lists. And, of course, to take practical action in and around Oxford check out our numerous opportunities to create social change.

The OUSU produced this handy guide to green living. "101 Bright Ideas to Save the World" gives you loads of great tips and tells you all about the good and bad guys in the consumerism world.
E&E member Alastair Marsh and Oxford Hub intern Emma Burnett pulled together this guide to Oxford's Local Ethical Food and Shopping.
Evelien de Hoop also assembled a Food Guide to Oxford for the Linacre College Green Society, which focuses on markets and veg box schemes.
And, if you want to join a group that is focusing on the ethics of consumerism, it turns out that Oxford is a fairtrade city. Follow the fairtrade blog, and join their campaign to build the momentum. Last year Kellogg College focussed on Fairtrade clothing in a fashion show. What will happen this year, and what will you be involved with?
