25for25 Winter

This meal was, we hope, the first of many celebrations of local food at the Turl Street Kitchen. It was an opportunity for us to showcase some of our fantastic current suppliers (such as Sandy Lane Farm in Tiddington www.sandylanefarm.net/), and to explore the options for using more and more locally sourced ingredients. This event was a challenge for the whole Turl Street Kitchen team, but one that we relished, and one that will inform our supplier choices in the future as we work towards further minimising the environmental and social impact of our offering. Our vision for the Turl Street Kitchen is one in which we play an integral role in building a thriving local food economy and in helping to drive a transition towards a low-carbon catering industry in Oxford.

Oh - and the food tasted spectacular too... read a nice review in the Oxford Times herewww.oxfordtimes.co.uk/leisure/9480944.Tu rl_Street_Kitchen...

Day by Day

Fab photographer Oli Ford popped by to see us and take some action shots of the Turl Street Kitchen from some unusual angles.  You can see more of his work here.

Our Opening

On 26th September on a beautiful sunny day the Turl Street Kitchen opened its doors to friends, neighbours and strangers soon-to-be-regulars galore.  Thanks so much again to everybody who made this possible, you know who you are!
