Accessibility at Oxford Hub

Oxford Hub is committed to making our activities inclusive to all volunteers. We will make reasonable adjustments to application processes, training sessions, volunteering projects and other activities.

Please email lizzie@oxfordhub.org if you have any questions.

Our Inclusivity Policy

Oxford Hub is committed to making our activities inclusive to all volunteers. We will make reasonable adjustments to application processes, training sessions, volunteering projects and other activities, and we pay back volunteer expenses such as bus tickets. We also provide ongoing support for the volunteers we work with, so if you have particular accessibility needs, including special educational needs, you can fill out the Accessibility Requirements form on the volunteering application and let us know how we can help. Please email lizzie@oxfordhub.org if you have any questions.

Volunteering if you have a disability

We can make reasonable adjustments to our training and opportunities where necessary to make things more accessible. If you have a disability, including physical disabilities, mental health conditions, or learning difficulties, please get in touch and let us know what your needs are. Our application forms have a section for you to tell us about any accessibility requirements you have, and can tell us what we can do to help. Alternatively, email lizzie@oxfordhub.org if you have any questions.

Please check individual project pages to see which projects are wheelchair accessible. We are working to make all our opportunities wheelchair accessible.

Volunteering with a carer

If you need a carer or support worker with you when volunteering, please let us know. We can make arrangements to cater for this in most of our projects.

If you do not have a carer/support worker but would like another volunteer to support you when volunteering, please get in touch and we can arrange assisted volunteering.

Financial support

We pay back our volunteers for travel expenses within Oxford, and any costs spent on materials such as printing. If you have any queries or think that money may be a barrier to you taking part in our programmes, please get in touch with lizzie@oxfordhub.org and we can work something out.
