Active
Motivate young people through sports, creative activities and fun games with our Active volunteering programmes.
3 Saturday activity days per term or 1 Thursday evening a week for 6 weeks per term!
Oxford
We’re launching two new and exciting Active volunteering programmes, giving young people the opportunity to access new opportunities with the support of university student mentors. We’re looking for a team of volunteers to help make this happen, at either fortnightly activity days or regular mentoring sessions.
Oxford Hub are working to ensure children and young people in Oxford enjoy the benefits of sport and physical activity.
We want them to feel more motivated, confident and able to get active – which will also increase the likelihood of being active later in life.
We are looking for student volunteers to work 1:1 with a young person on one of our programmes to inspire them to get excited about sports!

‘I love feeling like I am making a difference and giving children the opportunity to have a fun day out that they may not have had otherwise. As I am going to be doing a PGCE starting in September, it has really helped me develop my skills around children and has taught me important issues regarding Safeguarding.’
‘I've enjoyed working with children and young people and understand the importance of social change’
‘It's often a lot of fun being with the kids and they love the activities!’
‘The activity days have such a positive impact on the kids - it feels so rewarding!’
