What is Community Conservation?
Our volunteers go on weekly conservation work parties around Oxfordshire during Oxford University term-time, so if you want a hands-on environmental project this is the place to be. Events might involve birdwatching, plant-counting, or even some light landscaping.
We work with a network of community groups to link up students with conservation work. Apply at the bottom of the page if you'd like to be kept in the loop about upcoming events! Non-students welcome.
Why Community Conservation?
We want to help more students get involved in preserving and protecting our natural environment and the wildlife that lives in it. Our volunteers get to help out with important environmental work in Oxfordshire as well as getting outdoors and having fun.
Getting outdoors and connecting with nature is a proven way of improving your mental and physical health. Escape from the world and take action to care for our planet, and yourself too!
Oxford Hub is committed to making our activities inclusive to all students. We can make reasonable adjustments to application processes, training sessions, volunteering projects and other activities, and can reimburse expenses such as bus tickets. We also provide ongoing support for the volunteers we work with, so if you have particular accessibility needs, including special educational needs, please do get in touch at firstname.lastname@example.org and let us know how we can make the activity more accessible.
