East Oxford Good Neighbours
East Oxford Good Neighbours work with local residents across East Oxford to help maintain their gardens. Check out our recent work on our blog. Not only have we done local people's gardens but we've also helped out at the Churchill Hospital on ward gardens. From mowing lawns to cleaning out greenhouses, we do it all!
We go gardening around twice a month, depending on demand, and you can sign up to dates and times that suit you!
If you'd like to get involved, email lizzie@oxfordhub.org - and if you have a garden that needs a bit of a trim, email alison_mckay@hotmail.com. Students and non-students welcome!

  • Having a genuinely positive social impact in your local community
  • Developing valuable new skills - whether it's communication, leadership or teamwork
  • Meeting other like-minded volunteers
  • Challenging yourself to do something completely different!
Support with your application
Oxford Hub is committed to making our activities inclusive to all volunteers. We can make reasonable adjustments to application processes, training sessions, volunteering projects and other activities, and can reimburse expenses such as bus tickets. We also provide ongoing support for the volunteers we work with, so if you have particular accessibility needs, including special educational needs, please get in touch with us at lizzie@oxfordhub.org and let us know how we can make the activity more accessible.
