What is Good Neighbours?
Good Neighbours offers students the chance to get involved with a whole range of microvolunteering opportunities. So far Oxford students have got involved in a range of activities, including:
  • Cooking & delivering soup to people experiencing homelessness
  • Helping to sign-up Oxford citizens to the electoral register ahead of the General Election
  • Digging in the sun at OxGrow community garden
How can I get involved?
We are currently putting together some volunteering opportunities for Michaelmas. To register your interest in the project, click the "Apply" tab at the top of the page and we'll update you once we have confirmed our volunteering opportunities for this term!
Need more convincing?
Just a few of the awesome benefits of volunteering are...
  • Having a genuinely positive social impact in your local community
  • Developing valuable new skills - whether it's communication, leadership or teamwork
  • Meeting other like-minded students
  • Challenging yourself to do something completely different
  • Getting involved in the wider city of Oxford - beyond the college/Tesco/lectures bubble!
NEW: We are also currently recruiting for two Project Coordinators who will take a leading role in organising microvolunteering opportunities! Read the full role description here and to apply just send an email with you motivation, skills and experience for the role to abigail.rose@oxfordhub.org.
