Sports Action
Motivate young people through sport with our sports volunteering programmes.
3 weekend activity days in Hilary or 1 evening a week for 6 weeks in Hilary
We’re launching two new and exciting sports volunteering programmes, giving young people the opportunity to access new opportunities with the support of university student mentors. We’re looking for a team of volunteers to help make this happen, at either fortnightly activity days or regular mentoring sessions.
Oxford Hub are working to ensure children and young people in Oxford enjoy the benefits of sport and physical activity.
We want them to feel more motivated, confident and able to get active – which will also increase the likelihood of being active later in life.
We are looking for student volunteers to work 1:1 with a young person on one of our programmes to inspire them to get excited about sport!

‘I love feeling like I am making a difference and giving children the opportunity to have a fun day out that they may not have had otherwise. As I am going to be doing a PGCE starting in September, it has really helped me develop my skills around children and has taught me important issues regarding Safeguarding.’
‘I've enjoyed working with children and young people and understand the importance of social change’
‘It's often a lot of fun being with the kids and they love the activities!’
‘The activity days have such a positive impact on the kids - it feels so rewarding!’
We are an inclusive organisation and can make reasonable adjustments to application processes, interviews, training sessions and other activities on a case-by-case basis. We also provide ongoing support for the students we work with, so if you have particular accessibility needs, please do get in touch at
