The Oxford Hub Student Committee will be a group of student volunteers working together to publicise Oxford Hub and it’s projects at the University of Oxford and Oxford Brookes University.
The committee will work closely with Oxford Hub staff, attending training, staff meetings and shared team-building activities. Students will be committing to their roles for a full year.
Individuals will be paired with staff mentors for further learning opportunities and additional support in their roles.
There will be an info event for anyone interested in finding out more at Oxford Hub on 11th February, 5.30-6.30pm. Drop by and ask any questions you have!

Who can apply?
Must be a current student at Oxford Brookes University or the University of Oxford.
Must have volunteered on an Oxford Hub project before or have an understanding of what we do at Oxford Hub.
Must be able to commit minimum 5 hours per week to the Oxford Hub Student Team.
Must be proactive, keen to collaborate and willing to learn!
Has some experience in leadership volunteering roles.
Interested in pursuing a career in the third sector.
Has some flexibility with timings/schedule.
Attend weekly committee meetings at Oxford Hub (60 minutes per week).
Attend weekly training (to be paired with committee meetings; 30 minutes per week).
Meet with staff mentor every other week (30 minutes fortnightly).
Support the rest of the Student Committee in their work across the board.
Liaise with project committees to identify which, if any, Oxford Hub projects need more publicity or recruitment.

Organises and chairs weekly meetings.
Takes minutes at meetings and shares with staff team.
Attends weekly staff meetings (Mondays at 11.15am) to share updates from the Student Committee.
Oversees all committee activity, supporting the team across the board.
Fundraising x 2
Reaching a termly fundraising target of £200 with support from the rest of the Student Committee * and staff.
Responsible for running two fundraising events throughout term.
Responsible for writing one fundraising application, with staff support, per term.
Publicity & Outreach x 2
There will be two designated publicity & outreach roles, one for Oxford Brookes and one for Oxford University. Each will be responsible for targeting publicity towards their specified demographics, in addition to resident outreach.
Responsible for running a termly publicity campaign, to be designed with the staff team.
Responsible for attending publicity events such as fresher’s fair stalls.
Responsible for writing the Oxford University and Oxford Brookes weekly newsletters.
Responsible for managing the Oxford Hub Instagram.
Liaising with Oxford Hub college representatives.
Events x 2
Responsible for supporting the fundraising and publicity teams with their respective events and providing on-ground support.
Responsible for managing budget/expenditure for all events.
Responsible for managing Oxford Hub college reps to run events at their colleges.
Organise two social or publicity events per term.
How to apply:
We are not currently taking applications for our student committee.
Candidates will be interviewed by Oxford Hub staff on 20th February. Final decisions will be made by the end of the week.
Training will take place the following week, and the new committee will then take on their roles by the end of February.
