A more connected Oxford.
Our vision is one of a cohesive community in which everyone is empowered to give and receive support from the people around them. We work to tackle social and environmental challenges throughout Oxford City, and our 800+ volunteers can be found supporting the local community and environment on any given day of the week, with activities running throughout the year.
We believe that when people are supported to tackle social challenges, learn about issues and connect with each other, both communities and volunteers benefit. With Oxford Hub people can create a positive impact through practical volunteering, placements with local charities and by incubating new social action projects and social enterprises. Our volunteers gain the skills and knowledge to become engaged, create an impact in their community and become active citizens for life.
Our beneficiaries range from the toddlers who attend our Early Years Stay and Play sessions, to the older residents supported through our LinkAges project. Our work takes us from schools in Cowley to community centres in Cutteslowe, between charities in Barton and colleges in the city centre.
We’re proud to be a centre for social action that’s open to everyone, and that takes a collaborative approach to solving some of today’s most pressing issues.
